Important Notes
Product Availability: Our products are available through a limited number of partners. Please check with your club or network to see if you have access to these products.
- Please note that Accord Mortgages' Buy to Let Standard Variable Rate is currently 5.99% and is set independently of Accord Mortgages' Standard Variable Rate. This is because Accord Mortgages' Buy to Let lending business is run differently from its residential lending business. As such, Accord Mortgages' Buy to Let Standard Variable Rate may be different from Accord Mortgages' Standard Variable Rate at any time and can vary upwards or downwards from time to time.
- Booking fee: is payable as part of the full mortgage application process and is non-refundable.
- The full mortgage application should not be started unless you receive an ‘Accept’ Lending Decision. Please await the outcome of referrals as the booking fee is not refunded in the event of a decline.
- Product Withdrawal: we aim to give prior notice of withdrawal, but products may be withdrawn without notice. No further applications are accepted after withdrawal.

Important information about Booking Fees when product withdrawal is announced:
- To reserve a product when a product withdrawal has been announced, you must submit a Full Mortgage Application and pay the booking fee as per the following guidelines:
- Online payment – Paid at time of full mortgage application submission
- Telephone payment – Paid by 4pm on the working day after product withdrawal (note, you must call us to make the payment rather than selecting the option for us to call the client).
- Cheque payment by post – The cheque must be received by Accord within two working days of product withdrawal. We do not accept responsibility for cheques missing in the post.
- When a withdrawal is announced, please ensure that you make arrangements, as per the guidelines above, to pay outstanding booking fees for applications previously submitted to guarantee your selected product.
- When a withdrawal has been announced, if a Lending Decision refers you may complete a Full Mortgage Application and pay the booking fee to reserve a product on the following understanding:
If the Lending Decision is subsequently declined, we will refund the booking fee.
- If the Lending Decision refers and we subsequently offer either the same product but with different loan terms or a different product, neither of which you accept, we will refund the booking fee
- If a product withdrawal has not been announced, you must always await the outcome of a lending decision prior to submitting a Full Mortgage Application. If you do not await the outcome and subsequently receive a decline, the booking fee will not be refunded.
- If you received an Approve decision and complete a Full Mortgage Application for a product and later wish to switch to a new product, we will not refund the original booking fee nor waive any new booking fee which applies.
- To reserve a product when a product withdrawal has been announced, you must submit a Full Mortgage Application and pay the booking fee as per the following guidelines:
- Processing of your application will not commence until the booking fee is paid.
- Product Fee: Accord offers a range of products with differing fees, to suit different client requirements. Product Fees are payable on completion and can be added to the loan, however, interest will be payable on the fee during the life of the loan. A Mortgage Fee of £90 is payable on redemption of the loan.
- Valuation Fee: is payable on application unless stated otherwise. Where the valuation fee has been paid, we will instruct the valuation as soon as we begin to process your application - unless you advise us otherwise.
- Legal Fee Assistance: on selected products, Accord will pay the legal fee (and the VAT on that fee) of our legal adviser incurred in connection with the purchase and mortgage (or mortgage in the case of a remortgage). This does not include any associated costs and expenses such as search fees, Land Registry registration fee, stamp duty land tax, fees payable to a landlord, management company or rentcharge owner for registration of notice of transfer or mortgage, any indemnity insurance premium to cover defects in title or telegraphic transfer fees which will be payable by the applicant. The applicant will also be responsible for any costs incurred by our legal adviser in the preparation of specific additional documentation such as, for example, a Power of Attorney, Transfer of Equity or Deed of Variation, or in the drafting of a tenancy agreement, as well as the legal costs of any legal adviser instructed by the applicant.
- Free Valuation: on selected products Accord will pay for the valuation up to a maximum of £495. (This excludes second or subsequent valuations and does not include HomeBuyers Reports, structural surveys or specialists reports).
- Refunded Valuation: on selected products Accord will refund the valuation fee on completion. (This excludes second or subsequent valuations and does not include HomeBuyers Reports, structural surveys or specialists reports).
- Cashback products (when available): on selected products Accord will pay the cashback on completion via your client's solicitor.
- Early Repayment Charges (ERCs) and overpayments: unless otherwise stated, all products allow 10% overpayments per year without ERC. ERCs apply on redemption or transfer (part or full) to another product during the ERC period.
