Stamp duty deadline-we're ready, we need you to be ready too

We're sure you'll know the threshold reduction for the Stamp Duty holiday is fast approaching for England and Northern Ireland.

We wanted to reassure you that we are here to help with the same great service you can rely on from us, and we have added extra resource to help us process the expected increase in funds requests as the deadline gets closer.

But there are two key points we need you to know so we can keep offering that service.

  • We'll need 5 days notice to process the certificate of title (CoT) and we'll process them in order of date/time received
  • Once we've processed the CoT a confirmation email will be sent automatically by MSO to you, so you’ll know when it's been done and what date the expected completion is set for.

Local Authority Search Indemnity Insurance is acceptable to us and if, after discussing the situation with their conveyancing solicitor, your client decides to take out this type of insurance, we will accept it to enable us to proceed with their mortgage application.

If your case is not at offer yet some tips to help us process it quicker are:

  • Use MSO to get real-time case updates without needing to contact us, that way we can be here when you really do need us
  • Don't forget the additional administrator logins are great for giving your administrator the ability to check on cases without having to pick up the phone
  • Sending all documents to us in one go will really speed up our decisions, so wait until you have everything you need to support the application

And, don’t forget for properties below £250k the holiday remains in place until the end of September.
