Changes to our policy on stamp duty incentives

As you'll be aware the chancellor has cut all stamp duty on home purchases in England & Northern Ireland up to £500,000. Some of you have been in touch about our policy for clients who had stamp duty paid as part of their deal with the developer and are looking to negotiate the stamp duty savings as a cash payment instead.

We'll accept cash incentives, instead of paid stamp duty, on applications which exchanged before 9 July. As long as the solicitor confirms this in writing.

For applications which didn't exchange before 9 July, any changes to the incentives must be confirmed using a UK Finance Disclosure of Incentives form. The changes must meet our new build incentives policy.
