Remortgage criteria

We will accept all purposes for a remortgage except raising capital for a business. At least one applicant must have owned the property to be remortgaged for a minimum of 6 months prior to the date of application.

LTV limits

The following maximum loan and LTV limits are in place for remortgages:

Maximum LTV Borrowing amount
80% Up to £500,000
75% Up to £1,000,000





 

Additionally

For all remortgages the property must have been owned by the applicant(s) for a minimum of 6 months.

For capital-raising remortgages the following are permitted:

  • Unsecured debt consolidation not allowed above 75% LTV subject to a maximum £50,000 limit or maximum of 10 debts to be repaid

  • School fees

  • Holidays/cars

  • Purchasing another property

  • BTL business purposes

  • Home Improvements

Surplus personal income allows Accord to offer BTL loans to landlords who are remortgaging a rental property but are unable to meet our affordability calculations through rental income alone. Subject to meeting criteria this surplus income can be used to cover any rental shortfall on loans up to 75% LTV. Please see our Top Slicing page for more information.
