Sale/Release of part

Where a borrower wants to sell part of the mortgaged property he/she must apply for our consent to release of the part to be sold from the mortgage security. The same applies where the borrower simply wants Accord to release a part of the mortgaged property from its charge.  Should we decide to consent to the release, then we may require you to repay a part of the monies owed under the morgage and/or a part of any of your other borrowings with Accord Buy to Let.

Accord will usually instruct the same legal adviser as was appointed from the Accord limited panel of solicitors firms to act for Accord in the grant of the mortgage. The borrower will be responsible for all legal costs and expenses incurred by Accord's legal adviser.

The borrower can instruct Accord's legal adviser to also act for him/her or can instruct their own legal adviser. If the borrower instructs their own legal adviser, then the borrower will be responsible for the legal costs and expenses of both Accord's legal adviser and their own legal adviser. Applications must be made in writing and addressed to the Customer Services Team at Newport.

Details of the legal costs payable can be found on our Buy to Let Loans Admin Fee Tariff factsheet.
